3ESOL ยท PAIRINK
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
PairInk is provided by 3ESOL. This policy explains local drawing storage, device pairing, online licensing and purchases, and your privacy choices. The Android-specific information below describes PairInk 1.93. Windows and browser versions have different analytics and commercial-service behavior, as explained below.
1. Your drawings and paired devices
Drawings, handwriting, text, imported images and PDF pages are stored in local PairInk boards on your devices. The mobile license service does not receive the drawings or notes inside your boards. If you send board content or screenshots to support, we receive the material you choose to share.
When you pair a device with a companion computer, PairInk transfers board content over the configured network connection. The companion must remain open and reachable for live syncing. Connections may use HTTP or WebSocket without transport encryption. Use a trusted network and pair only devices you control or trust.
You choose which files to import and where to save exports and backups. Camera access is optional and used to scan pairing QR codes; manual connection entry is available. Nearby-computer discovery uses your local network. Copies shared with another person or service are subject to that recipient's handling.
2. Android trials, licensing and Google Play purchases
The native Android app does not require a separate PairInk login. It uses an installation identity and an online license service to administer trial and Pro access. This service processes installation identifiers, protected authentication credentials, trial board identifiers, trial and entitlement status, and store purchase references. Authentication credentials are stored in hashed form by the license service. Board identifiers used for trial limits do not contain board drawings or notes.
Google Play handles purchases through your Google account. PairInk's license service verifies purchase references and processes purchase, cancellation, refund and revocation information to provide access and prevent misuse. 3ESOL does not receive your payment card details from the normal Google Play purchase flow. Google handles payment information under its own privacy practices.
Licensing and purchase verification use internet connections protected by HTTPS and cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, with Google services used for Play verification and purchase notifications. Internet services receive connection information such as the IP address used to contact them and may maintain operational and security logs. These records are separate from your local board content.
3. Analytics and platform differences
Usage analytics are disabled in the native Android 1.93 app, including when an older preference enabled analytics. This app does not send PairInk feature-use analytics to PostHog. This does not disable the licensing and purchase traffic described above. PairInk does not display third-party advertising.
Windows and browser versions can send usage and reliability events to PostHog's United States service. Analytics in those versions are enabled by default and can be turned off in Devices & sync. Events include a randomly generated analytics installation identifier, app version, platform and device class, feature interactions, error categories, and summarized sync timings and counts. These event payloads do not include board titles or content, imported files, clipboard contents, pairing keys or connection addresses. PairInk's analytics implementation does not use session replay or automatic screen capture.
Turning analytics off clears queued events and the local analytics identifier on that device. It does not delete events already received by the provider. Native Android's disabled analytics also do not erase any historical events sent by other versions. Windows or website commercial account services, where used, may process contact details and account, trial, license and purchase records separately from local drawings; review the service-specific notices presented there.
4. Support, service providers and children
If you contact 3ESOL, we receive your contact details, message and any attachments. We use them to respond, provide support and handle privacy requests. Avoid sending sensitive board content unless necessary. Service providers processing licensing, hosting, payments, analytics or communications receive information needed for those services; exporting or sharing your boards is a separate choice you control.
For children using PairInk, a parent or guardian should help manage device pairing, exported files and purchases. Native Android analytics remain disabled regardless of age. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's information or to request access or deletion. Do not send a child's board contents when an installation or purchase reference will suffice.
5. Storage, retention and deletion
You manage local boards and exported backups on your devices. Deleting one board or removing app storage may not remove backups, exports or copies on paired devices. Manage those copies separately and keep any backups you need. Trial expiry does not automatically erase existing local work.
License and purchase records are maintained separately from local boards to administer access, validate purchases and address refunds, misuse and support requests. Expiry of a credential, trial or entitlement does not automatically erase those records. This policy does not promise automatic deletion after one month or any other fixed period. Retention and any deletion limitations depend on the record, continuing service needs and applicable obligations.
To request access, correction or deletion of information held by 3ESOL, email the address below with the platform and, if available, an installation identifier or order reference. Do not send passwords, authentication credentials or full payment card details. We may request information needed to locate the relevant records and verify your authority, and will explain applicable limitations, including consequences for licensed access or records needed for purchase disputes. We cannot retrieve local board content we do not hold. Analytics opt-out alone is not a deletion request.
6. Security and your rights
Protect your devices, credentials, local network and exported files. Local pairing may be unencrypted even though online mobile licensing uses HTTPS. No device or communication method is guaranteed completely secure.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Contact us to make a request. Third-party services may process information outside your country and have their own privacy notices and request procedures.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PairInk's features and data practices change. The date above identifies this revision. Review this policy and any service-specific notices when using online or commercial features.
